This year, the competition, which has been held by the Gorbatov Federal Scientific Center since 2014, included 123 producers from 40 Russian regions, as well as from the Republics of Belarus and Kazakhstan, featuring a total of 996 food products were presented. All of them were scrutinized by expert and tasting committees consisting of recognized industry specialists. Their assessment included organoleptic testing of food products (analyzing not only appearance, aroma, taste, but also the unique design of the packaging, and production innovations), control of the conformity of labeling with the requirements of technical rules and regulations, interstate and national standards, as well as the manufacturer’s regulatory documentation. Following an assessment by the expert jury, Komus’s own brand Business Standard confidently won in the category “Confectionery”, as well as became a silver medalist in the same category.
